When using valves from Metalwork 70 series(1/8 and 1/4) or the Syntesi V3V (SY1 and SY2), the coil that is used to switch the solenoid can get corrosion from chemicals or other airbone particles. In most applications this just does not occur. But when you do have usch an issue, this coil IP65 kits helps to seal the shaft on the valve, to keep substances out. Another application where it can be useful, is when you have extreme vibrations. This can cause the nut to unscrew itself. This metal nut, then replaced the standard plastic nut, which allows the use of loctite, but also the rubber, helps to keep the ring in place.
