16mm Ballnut Variant 3 pitch 2,5mm (213503)

The ISEL variant 3 ball screw nut is a special type. One must pay close attention when one wants to buy this. The nut can only be used together with the mounting block block 1 or 2. Or you have to make a mounting block yourself. Without the blocks, the nut has no pretension and cannot be used. The great thing about this nut is that sealing rings can also be mounted in it to keep dust and dirt out. Furthermore, it is the only ball screw nut that is truly available in every pitch.

Another point to pay attention to is that this very fine pitch of 2.5mm can generate a lot of force. Suppose you have a stepper motor with 2 Nm of torque and a standard ball screw with a pitch of 5 mm. It then generates approximately 2261 Newtons (approximately 230 kg) of force. If you use the same stepper motor with a pitch of 2.5 mm, you will generate double the force. So that is 4522Newton (approximately 460kg). The difficulty with this is that you then already exceed the dynamic load capacity of 3500 Newtons which is permitted for these ball screw nuts (see image 4). In short, pay attention. We would rather go for a pitch of 4 or 5 mm. Because then you are much further from the limits of what the nuts can handle.
