There are 3 different versions of these flow regulators. The bi-directional version limits the flow in both directions. The cylinder and valve version limits flow in one direction only. The valve version is the one mounted on the valve and the cylinder version is the one on the cylinder. Most common is to use the cylinder mounted version. For each cylinder you need two pieces, one is used for limiting the speed on incoming stroke, the other is used for outgoing stroke.
