The ECM-B3 AC servo motors are suitable for the Delta B3 and Delta B3A Delta servo drivers. These motors, in combination with the B3 drivers, provide a major technological leap forward, which result in more advanced systems, shorter cycle times and potentially associated cost savings.
Major steps forward have also been made in the field of encoder resolution. Different types of encoder are available: in addition to the 17-bit incremental magnetic encoder, there is now also a 24-bit incremental optical encoder and even a 24-bit absolute optical encoder, which also works in mult-turn (17-bit). Compared to the previous ECMA motors suitable for the B2 system, this 24-bit encoder is a giant leap from 160,000 pulses/rev to 16,777,216 pulses per revolution. The servo motor offered here also has an 24 bit incremental optical encoder, within the range of 1 turn, it can be used as a single turn absolute encoder.
Despite the increased performance, the new ECM-B3 AC servo motors are much more compact than previous generations of Delta AC servo motors, such as the ECMA motors. For a 1500W servo motor with a flange size of 130x130mm, the length has been reduced by approximately 20%. The flange sizes and shaft diameters have remained the same, which makes switching from ECMA motors to ECM-B3 motors possible without any problems.
Component features:
- Frame size: 130 x 130 mm
- Rated output power: 1500 W
- Nominal Output torque: 7.16Nm
- Nominal Speed range: 0 - 2000 rpm
- Full Speed range: 2000 - 3000 rpm (Field weakening area, so reduced torque in this range)
- 24-bit incremental optical encoder (16,777,216 pulse per revolution)
- Can be used as single turn absolute encoder
- Higher performance than previous generations
- Increased number of pulses on the encoders from 17bit(160,000 pulses per revolution) to 24 bit (16,777,216 pulse per revolution)
- Much shorter than the previous gen models
