These C5160 DB motors are used for applications where a lot of torque is required but with limited speed. Thanks to the double angular contact bearings, they are suitable for heavy axial loads in drilling applications. The speed can be controlled with a frequency controller, but it is also possible to run this motor without a frequency controller; once connected to 380V, this motor will run at 3000rpm.
