The CS1-D503S can easily drive 2-phase NEMA8,11,17 Leadshine stepper motors with incremental encoders. Compared with openloop stepper systems, a CS1-D503S equipped closed-loop loop stepper system can eliminate potential loss of steps, perform real-time position error corrections, and does not need torque reservation. The CS1-D503S also retains typical Leadshine characteristics such as limited heat generation and vibration and a low noise level. Compared to the CS series, the CS1 has a number of extra unique features. In addition to an enable input, it also has a reset input, which makes it possible to reset error messages from the PLC or CNC. As a result, it is no longer necessary to completely switch off the power supply for a reset. In addition to the Alarm/Error output, there is also an in-position output. This indicates that the system has reached its setpoint/target. This can be useful if you for example want to switch an output of the CNC/PLC when the system is actually in the desired position. What is also new is that this driver has an internal brake connection, an external relay is no longer needed, you can connect the brake coil directly to the stepperdriver. And the last thing that is new is that this driver also has differential encoder outputs (A/B/Z), which you can link back to a higher-level system to, for example, also keep track of the position of the motor.

- 15 microstep settings from 200-51,200 via software or 400-50,000 adjustable via DIP switches

- Brake output (may be connected directly to the brake coil on the steppermotor)
- Encoder output A+,A-,B+,B- and optional Z+ Z- (motor must have a Z pulse, not all encoders have that)
