Conversion board to convert PWM signal from the EdingCNC CPU5B to 0-10V. This is a common method of setting the speed/RPM on a frequency converter. This is often used for controlling high-speed milling motors, for example from TeknoMotor. The milling motor is started by switching a digital input on the VFD. This is easy to switch with a relay output on this CPU5B PWM->Volt board. In the same way you can convert the direction signal of the motor with a 2nd relay on the printed circuit board. The good thing is that both of these relays are completely potential-free. So you can switch NPN or PNP. NO or NC, and you can also switch different voltages (5V,12V,24V etc). In practice, this means that this board is compatible with 99.9% of the frequency inverters on the market.
Component features:
- Fully isolated
- No additional power or auxiliary voltage from VFD required
- 10V is adjustable (small trim potentiometer on PCB)
- 2 relay outputs for spindle on/off and spindle direction
- Watchdog protected (if communication with CPU is lost, print will turn off)
- NOTE: in the EdingCNC software, in the 2nd tab of the setting, check invert PWM1
