REGO-FIX CYL Cylindrical shank toolholders. REGO-FIX cylindrical micRun collet holders are designed for automatic turning machines (lathes) and can also be utilized as extensions in machining centers. Because of the holistic approach the TIR on the total system of micRun colletholder,collet and clamping nut is <= 3 microns. When we consider just the inner taper to the CYL shank its <= 1 micron. Most other products that you can buy in the market have a figure of at least 10 microns, and it gets much worse when you add the collet. We love these REGO-FIX products, because it allows you to make extensions that would otherwise not be possible. All of it comes down to accuracy. Initially this product was designed to be used with Swiss lathes where super high accuracy is required. The applications where we most often use/sell this product is to make a deep reach tool holder that is used in a machining center, or robotic milling cell. The longer a tool gets the more risk of unbalance and damage etc. This product helps to solve those issues. In the product images, you can find some images of how this product can be used to make an extension with ETP hydraulic tools. We prefer the combination of these 2 products because it provides some damping. Also it garanties the highest accuracy and lowest TIR. This product could also be combined with an ER collet chuck, we would advise thesen to use UP, Ultra Precision collets to further reduce TIR.
