The Electrospindle C4147 is one size larger and more powerful than the Electrospindle C3140. These motors are widely used on professional portal milling machines and are very suitable for both milling and drilling due to the ceramic double angular contact bearings in the spindle nose. By means of a variable frequency drive (VFD) the speed can be regulated between 6000 and 24000 revolutions per minute.

This motor differs from the other Electrospindels C4147 motors by its type of bearing seals. Electrospindles with overpressure seals, if connected to (dry) air, can allow air to flow continuously through the seals, preventing (fine) dust from entering the motor, making these motors suitable for use in a dirty/dusty environment.

This 12000-24000rpm motor differs from the 18000-24000rpm motors because of the lower base rpm. Because Teknomotors have a linear V/f curve, this means that this motor already has full power available at 12000rpm, resulting in higher available torque at speeds up to 18000rpm. A motor with a base rpm of 18000rpm only has 2/3 of the power available at 12000rpm and therefore has less torque available at lower speeds.
