When mounting helical racks properly, a mounting template is always required for alignment between two rack segments. In a straight rack it's easy to simply use a rest piece of rack upside down inside the teeth of the mounted racks. For a helical system that trick does not work. Because the mounting template needs to have the angle of the teeth in the opposite direction as that of the racks themselves. So basicly two right hand racks, require a rest piece of a left hand rack, to be able to align them.
