DamenCNC has expanded its range of switches for reference running(aka homing). We have a good collaboration with IFM Electronics in this area for years. They make very reliable inductive sensors, which are accurate enough for many applications. In some applications, a higher repeat accuracy is desirable. Example are CNC grinding machines, or CNC lathes and milling machines, where people work with very narrow tolerances. For these types of machines, we now have new limit switches in the range from the Japanese brand Metrol. These switches are available in a number of versions. The simplest have a repeat accuracy of < 5 microns. In addition, we also have the Ultra high precision switches, which have a repeat accuracy of < 0.5 microns. In addition to the fact that these switches are incredibly accurate, they are also really developed for use in a dirty environment. They are water and oil resistant, and have an IP67 value. In addition to the impressive technical performance of these switches, we also supply them at very competitive prices.

Metrol has also made a special type of toolsetter for us. Which also has a repeat accuracy of <0.5 micron. Water and dust proof with IP67.
And with an integrated LED to see the status of the switch.
