These collets are prescribed by Teknomotor in cases where extreme precision is required. The ULTRA good concentricity ensures a longer lifespan of your Teknomotor. In most cases a standard Swiss precision collet is sufficient. However, it can sometimes be useful for very small tools to switch to an ULTRA precision collet to reduce the risk of tool breakage. Conversely, with larger diameter tools it can help to prevent unbalance. Another application where it can be useful is when clamping a measuring mandrel, when you want to have as little deviation as possible in the spindle and collet chuck, an ULTRA precision collet is always useful.
