On all HIWIN carriages a grease nipple is attached to the front side of the block as standard. However, it is also possible to install a lubrication connection on the side of the block. However, note that this is not plug&play! Thread has to be cut into the prepared side hole using a screw tap for cutting blind holes. Then the bore hole must be cleaned. Finally, the side lubrication connection must be openend at the base of the hole using a hot metal spike. When the lubrication hole is ready, you can decide to install a straight or angled grease nipple. The straight grease nipple is presented here.
