Racks made by the Italian company Gambini Meccanica. This company is specialized in making gears and racks, and has all the machines and equipment to make very accurate rack and pinion systems. There are several quality classes ranging from 5 the most accurate to 10 the least accurate. In our shop we offer quality 6 for high precision applications and quality 9 for standard precision applications. Both racks are made from high quality SAE steel, but only Q6 quality has induction-hardened teeth and ground surface. The Q9 quality we offer here has cold drawn surface and no heat treatment, but we can offer this Q9 quality for a more favorable price.
