When for example trying to do a toolchange, on a CNC machine, for a short interval of time, a lot of air is consumed. The pneumatic system cant deliver this, because of the thin hoses. When you add a buffer like this. It can solve those kinds of issues. The buffer helps to reduce the pressure drop that normally occurs in such a system.
